Welcome to EventFinder! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the
EventFinder mobile application ("App"), including all features, services, and content
available through the App.
Important: By downloading, installing, or using EventFinder, you agree to
be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using EventFinder, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You will provide accurate and complete information
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
2. Account Registration
2.1 Account Creation
- You must create an account to access certain features
- You can sign up using email/password or Google Sign-In
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
2.2 Account Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for all activities under your account
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
- You must update your information to keep it accurate and current
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. User Content and Events
3.1 Event Creation and Management
When you create an event on EventFinder, you agree that:
- You own or have the right to publish all content associated with the event
- Your event information is accurate and not misleading
- Your event complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- You are responsible for the actual organization and execution of the event
- EventFinder is not liable for any issues arising from your event
3.2 Prohibited Content
You may not post or transmit content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Is fraudulent, false, or misleading
- Promotes illegal activities or violence
- Contains adult content or is sexually explicit
- Violates privacy rights of others
- Constitutes spam or unauthorized advertising
3.3 Content License
By posting content to EventFinder, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free
license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute your content for the purpose of
operating and promoting the App.
4. Chat and Communication
4.1 Chat Features
- EventFinder provides real-time chat functionality for event attendees
- You are responsible for all messages you send
- We reserve the right to monitor and moderate chat content
- Abusive or inappropriate behavior may result in account suspension
4.2 Communication Guidelines
- Be respectful and courteous to other users
- Do not share personal information publicly
- Do not engage in harassment, bullying, or hate speech
- Report inappropriate behavior to our support team
5. Payments and Transactions
5.1 Event Tickets and Fees
- Some events may require payment for attendance
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Event organizers set ticket prices and refund policies
- EventFinder may charge service fees for paid events
5.2 Featured Event Promotions
- Event organizers can purchase promotional features
- Pricing is clearly displayed before purchase
- Promotional periods begin immediately upon payment confirmation
- Promotional purchases are generally non-refundable
5.3 Refunds and Cancellations
- Refund policies are set by individual event organizers
- EventFinder service fees are typically non-refundable
- If an event is cancelled, contact the organizer directly
- Disputes should be resolved with the event organizer first
6. Advertising System
6.1 Ad Cards and Banner Ads
- Businesses can create promotional ad cards and banner ads
- All advertising content must comply with our Advertising Guidelines
- We reserve the right to reject or remove ads that violate our policies
- Ad performance is not guaranteed
6.2 Advertising Restrictions
Advertisements may not contain:
- False, misleading, or deceptive claims
- Prohibited products or services (weapons, drugs, etc.)
- Adult or explicit content
- Malicious links or malware
- Infringement of third-party rights
6.3 Campaign Management
- Advertisers can track campaign performance through the dashboard
- Campaign budgets and targeting options are set by advertisers
- We reserve the right to pause campaigns that violate our policies
7. Location Services
EventFinder uses location services to provide location-based features:
- You can enable or disable location services in your device settings
- Location data is used to show nearby events
- Location data is used for targeted advertising (with your consent)
- We do not share your precise location with third parties without consent
8. Push Notifications
- We may send push notifications about events, updates, and promotions
- You can disable notifications in your device settings
- Critical account notifications may still be sent
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
- EventFinder, its logo, and all related marks are our trademarks
- The App's design, code, and functionality are protected by copyright
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the App
9.2 User Content Rights
- You retain ownership of content you post
- You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to all content you post
- You grant us a license to use your content as described in Section 3.3
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of EventFinder is also governed by our Privacy Policy,
which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
11.1 App Availability
- We provide the App "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
11.2 Third-Party Events and Content
- EventFinder is a platform for users to share and discover events
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of event information
- We are not liable for events organized by third parties
- Users interact with each other at their own risk
11.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
- We are not liable for events organized by users
- We are not liable for user-generated content
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EventFinder and its affiliates from any claims,
damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Events you organize
- Content you post
13. Account Termination
13.1 Termination by You
- You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- Some data may be retained as required by law
13.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
- We are required to do so by law
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute, please contact us first to attempt to resolve it informally.
14.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of

14.3 Arbitration

16. General Provisions

EventFinder.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will
remain in effect.
16.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to any
affiliate or successor.
17. Age Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to use EventFinder
- Users under 18 should have parental consent
- Some events may have age restrictions set by organizers
18. International Use
- EventFinder is operated from the United States
- We make no claims that the App is appropriate in other locations
- If you access the App from other locations, you do so at your own risk
- You are responsible for compliance with local laws
